One of our sponsors, RingCentral, is hosting a free, full day of training & instruction, 9AM-4PM, on their platform. This event will take place in Georgia 5 and has free registration. Note: Registration for this event does not include any meals for the day.
The RingCentral Developer Platform gives you the power to customize and revolutionize the way your business communicates with their numerous APIs, easy to use widgets, bots, and 300+ pre-built apps in their App Gallery – all included with their Premium and Ultimate packages.
Please join them for a day of hands-on learning to discover the myriad of developer tooling available to you and your company, what other companies have built, and how you can take the RingCentral platform to the next level for your company.
We invite you to see the full schedule and sign up for the summit.
Join us Thursday evening for a reception in the sponsor area to relax and unwind after a long day of learning. Grab a drink and visit all of our wonderful sponsors who support and make php[tek] possible. Make sure to save some energy to join us later for Community Night and dinner immediately following the reception.
Immediately following the Sponsor Reception join us in the Ballroom for our conference party and dinner. This year we are doing something completely different for the evening, and throwing a movie party! We’ll be screening Muppet Treasure Island, followed by Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl. We’ll be serving pizza (and maybe some other snacks) for the evening as well!
We can’t let all of our traditions die however, so we’ll still be breaking out the bins of board games, playing Magic the Gathering, and commencing general geekiness all at the same time!
This evening sponsored by IBM.
All Friday afternoon, from 1:30pm – 5:00pm, we will be hosting a PHP TestFest in Georgia 5, hosted by Sammy Powers. Have you ever wanted to help contribute back to PHP but didn’t know how? Well this TestFest is for you! TestFest seeks to create more PHP core contributors by introducing PHP programmers to the PHP language test suite, teaching them how to write phpt tests. PHP can always use more tests as we strive for 100% coverage of the langauge itself. The phpt test suite used by PHP is simple to learn, and you can quickly start contributing tests back to the project!
Just show up with your laptop ready to learn, and Sammy will help get you set up to contribute, and help you through getting your first contributions written!
NOTE: This event is also open to the public. Anyone can attend this event even if they don’t have a ticket to php[tek]!
This year we are inviting everyone to attend the official after party Friday night at 8:00 pm. This is a simple affair designed for locals and people who are still in town that night. Meet us downtown at the Joystick Gamebar for video games, drinks, karaoke, board games, and just hanging out. Drinks and food are on you, but it should be a blast.
The address of the venue is 427 Edgewood Ave SE, it’s a quick ride over in an Uber or Taxi (~8 minutes). You can also reach it by taking the MARTA for $2.50 — Take the Gold/Red line from the Peachtree station to Five Points, transfer to the Blue/Green, and get off at King Memorial for a short walk. (Total time ~30 minutes, with ~18 minutes total walking). Or you can take the 1 mile walk with a group of friends! (~22 minutes)
