Chris Church Patientco

Chris Church leads both architecture design and a team of platform engineers at Patientco, a payment technology company built specifically for healthcare. While there, Chris has scaled a traditional LAMP application through a massive increase in volume, moved from single-server applications to a highly available, decoupled environment, modernized PHP frameworks and tooling, and lead a full migration onto AWS and Kubernetes.

Previously, Chris co-founded a biomedical startup specializing in high-speed simulations and data analysis. Chris earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. While there, he conducted research on topics including compilers, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity.
