Gutenberg Comes to WordPress
WordPress is changing its default editor experience with the introduction of a JavaScript-powered block-based editor called Gutenberg. The Gutenberg editor is a major evolution in the editing experience of WordPress and is slated for inclusion in WordPress 5.0, which is scheduled to be released sometime in 2018. While the plugin is still changing rapidly, by May 2018 this should be more stable, and perhaps Gutenberg will even be merged into WordPress core. We’ll look at this new editing experience and how we as developers can even further extend Gutenberg with our own custom blocks.
